The firearms industry strongly advises to not use .30/06 ammunition in M1 Garands that is loaded beyond 50,000 CUP and has a bullet weight more than 172-174gr. These rifles are at least 70 years old and were not designed for max loads and super heavy bullets. If you use the above mentioned ammunition and the rifle breaks, RTI will not be responsible for any damages or injuries occurred. Always wear hearing and eye protection when firing an M1 Garand.

I'm happy with it. Springfield April 1944 manufacture with an SA 1965 barrel (no hand select). Rusty, and grimy. Used 0000 steel wool, some brass brushes, and a bunch of Kroil and CLP to scrub it. Decent bore, decent rifling, minor pitting. Exterior isn't bad, interior had some dried rust on the barrel, op rod, and bolt, but after scraping the rust off, it looked superficial. Some bright orange rust in the chamber, but cleaned up easy, no pitting underneath. Some pitting on the barrel under the stock, but still functional. All the parts are intact and where they should be (front and rear sight, gas plug, safety, etc). Stock in good shape, but one minor crack in the upper rear handguard. These won't look pretty and new, be prepared to spend some time cleaning. Despite RTI's poor reputation online, I think they did alright.

just received my GARAND and i could not be happier after a little more cleaning it will be a beauty only cleaned the barrel so fare with a nice bore reading of .10 - now to disassemble and clean the dust off give it a little BLO on the stock to make the grain pop  out ( overall = for the condition it has been stored in i am truly overwhelmed by the  great condition it is in and would without a hesitation recommend that you get your self one / i just ordered 3 more  ) thank you Uli for repatriating these pieces of WW2 history and thank you team R T I  especially Stephanie for putting up with all my questions and calls

I ordered a SA didn’t pay for a hand selected barrel. Very dirty when it showed up. All the finish had been removed from barrel and gas tube in the front of the rifle by what appeared to be a wire brush. The barrel is shot out, barely any rifling left visible after cleaning. The rifle is a true WW2 1942 Garand and I’m happy for the price. Mine had cool rack numbers on the stock too.

4 of 5 I love my rifle, however there are minor issues March 24, 2022

When I saw Royal Tiger Imports offering an original condition Garand for $1,199.99, the cheapest non-CMP price I've seen in a while,  I had to check it out. The rifle came within 2 weeks, it was well packaged and well looked after. Now, as is true with all Royal Tiger rifles, the Garand required a deep cleaning, but once that was done, the rifle functioned perfectly, with one exception which I will mention in a moment. I cleaned the stock up, but it was mismatched and pretty beaten up and so I ordered a new stock from Dupage trading and stored the original USGI stock in my garage. The rifle looks amazing now, its one of the nicer ones I have seen. I did pay extra for a good bore, and the bore I got is very solid. My one problem with functionality, however, is that the firing pin was broken and needed to be replaced. I would have rather this not have been the case, but it was an easy $20 fix at my local gunsmith.

Just received my M 1 today.  I have not started to clean it as yet.  It looks to be all complete. It was very well packaged and exactly as described.  The serial number indicates it was manufactured in 1941. I am very pleased with it along with the other two previously purchased from RTI. A nice collectible rifle.
