Description

We now have Mannlicher 1888/95 rifles in stock at RTI! These rifles are in fair to good condition and are chambered for the 8x50R ammunition. These rare rifles were a WW1 era update to the M1888 rifle's rear sight. The flat "ladder sight" was an improvement over the larger, bulkier 1888 & 1888/90 sights and the new sights were based off of the Mannlicher M.95 rifles instead. This variation was the last and least produced of the Mannlicher 1888 rifle series and only a small amount survived until this day. These guns come straight out of Ethiopia. We do not check the bores, unless a hand select fee is paid. Bores range from poor to good. Please remember that these guns are 130 years old and back then there were no "non Corrosive" primers available.

Please note: the remaining few 1888/95s we have may have an incomplete rear sight and/or cracks in the stock. The sight base is generally intact, however the slider may be missing.

5 of 5 Mannlicher 1888/95 February 27, 2023
Reviewer: David
Ordered a few of these from RTI as well as a few other Mannlicher models. These are extremely easy and fun to strip down and clean and after running the parts through an ultrasonic they’re sturdy rifles. One of the stocks on the 1888/95 looks great but does have a stock repair on the wrist which is expected of a rifle of this age and after being stored in a suboptimal way in Ethiopia. Not sure why the other guy is up in arms over shipping. RTI gives you a notification before you submit an order saying shipping can take a few weeks but I’ve never had to wait more than three days till I get a notification saying my rifle(s) have shipped. Been with RTI for a few years now and it has been great to see how they’ve improved over the years.

5 of 5 Great rifle August 23, 2022
Reviewer: Shane from KS
Received my rifle is in amazing condition. Stock looked great other then a couple small cracks by the butt plate from the wood drying out, nothing missing and bore is amazing. Only little issue with the rifle was the rear side was slightly bent. Over all Very happy with the purchase.
